I am an Applied Artificial Intelligence & Analytics Graduate with aspirations to be a Data Scientist. I'm able to think on my feet and solve problems while keeping a clear mind under pressure.
A few interesting facts about me. I am an avid gamer. I especially love to play strategic competitive first person shooters such as Rainbow6:Siege where I have lead an eSports organisation before. One of the things I love when playing a game at a high level is analysing your play and statistics to find out where you can improve. As the leader of the team I have learnt how to make quick and logical decisions in a stressful and fast paced setting while also directing my teammates to complete objectives that are needed to achieve the final goal. I also love learning new things by picking up new hobbies or doing things that interest me. A few things I have gotten into recently is the world of custom mechical keyboards and pool.
I pride myself in self-improvement, as a person that loves the spirit of competition, I thrive in a competitve environment as it pushes me to continuously improve upon myself so as to remain competitive with my peers. I also look out for things in life that I would like to improve on, whether if its learning how to build good relationships with people or figuring out how to dress better. I don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone if it meant that I could do more things.
Possess knowledge in advanced data preprocessing processes using Python. Proficient with Python data science libraries such as Pandas, scikit-Learn, Tensorflow/Keras to develop code, scripts and data piplines for processing structured and unstructured data. Able to create valuable and insightful visualisation using Python and Tableau.
I have experience in Python, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, Flask, Node.js and various Python data science libraries for analytics and modelling. Also able to work with stakeholders to understand needs for data structures, availability and accessibility and to define business information needs.
Possess prior leadership experiences in school and also in my time managing an eSports Organisation. I have been building up from these experiences to be able to lead, start conversations, brainstorm effectively and settle conflicts from within the team. Setting clear goals and motivating the team to achieve them is one of my defining characteristics as a leader.
I am able to adapt quickly and effectively to new environments and be able to learn and pick up new skills on the fly. I am able to work under tight datelines and soak up stress to maintain a clear mind to make logical decisions. Extremely driven to achieve the goals set by myself and the company.
In my role as a data analytics intern, I learned to use the SAS Software Suite to conduct data preprocessing and staging. During this process, I delved into data exploration to discover anomalies and errors within the data. Afterwards, I generated valuable insights from the data with the creation of a dashboard.
Founded and managed an eSports Organisation that competed in various local and online tournaments in Rainbow 6 Siege and Overwatch. Had over 30 members including players, coaches and support staff. Main job in the Organisation is as a player and manager. This entails settling conflicts between players in the team, managing timetables for practice and various activities, setting goals and directions to take as the whole team and onboarding new players so that coaches/support staff are able to help them.
